Tata-Cornell celebrates 5 years of fighting hunger in India

The Sustainable Flour Fortification Initiative – branded as “SFurtI”– focuses on providing affrodable and convenient solutions to micronutrient deficiencies for tribal communities of Gujarat. Now available online, “The bumpy road from food to nutrition security – Slow evolution of India’s food policy” appears in the journal Global Food Security. The paper provides a detailed review of the evolution of food policy in India and a way forward in the transition towards nutrition security.

TCI Director speaks at Vatican Academy of Sciences

Prof. Prabhu Pingali, Director of TCI traveled to Vatican City to participate in a workshop on “Biological Extinction” organized by the Vatican Academy of Sciences from February 27 to March 1, 2017. He presented his paper on “The Green Revolution and Crop Biodiversity”.
