Apurva Borar

Apurva Borar is a PhD student in the field of applied economics and management. Her research interests include the economics of gender, public policy, development economics, and social networks in economics. Prior to joining Cornell, she worked as an assistant professor of economics at Miranda House at the University of Delhi. As part of her MPhil dissertation, she analyzed the relationship between women’s autonomy and their participation in paid work. Apurva graduated with a master’s degree from the Centre of Economic Studies and Planning at Jawaharlal Nehru University. She received her undergraduate degree from Shri Ram College of Commerce at the University of Delhi.
