TCI scholars are master’s and PhD students at Cornell University whose research aligns with TCI’s commitment to improving nutrition outcomes and livelihoods in India and other developing countries. They come from a diverse range of academic fields, such as economics, food science, and development sociology.

Fieldwork is integral to TCI’s mission. TCI scholars conduct intensive fieldwork as a part of their research.

Research Group

TCI’s research group gives TCI scholars, researchers, and others a chance to present their work to each other and receive feedback on their research projects. An interdisciplinary group of researchers and students, the research group offers opportunities for synergies between different fields.

The research group meets weekly during the academic year.

Internships

TCI partners with the Global Fellows Program to host undergraduate internships in India. The application and recruitment process is managed through the CALS Global Fellows office.
