Shubhangi Gupta is a PhD student in the field of applied economics and management. Her research interests lie in the intersection of gender, health, and education, and wants her research to have a real-world impact at the ground level. Prior to joining TCI, Shubhangi was a research associate at the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL South Asia), where she worked on projects involving education, health, agriculture, and energy economics. She holds a master’s degree in economics from the Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics in Pune, India, and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Sri Venkateswara College at the University of Delhi.
