Remembering Ratan N. Tata ’59, BArch ’62
The Tata-Cornell Institute for Agriculture and Nutrition (TCI) is deeply saddened by the passing of Mr. Ratan N. Tata ’59, BArch ’62, whose vision and generosity made the creation of TCI possible. A preeminent businessman and dedicated philanthropist, Mr. Tata has had a profound impact on both India and Cornell. His support for education and rural development in India will be felt for generations.
“Ratan Tata was a singular figure who touched the lives of millions of Indians through his generous philanthropy,” TCI Director Prabhu Pingali said. “We at TCI endeavor to honor his memory through our continued research aimed at improving nutrition and rural livelihoods in India.”
