Sonali Uppal
Sonali Uppal earned her MPA in International Development Studies at the Cornell Institute for Public Affairs. Her primary research interests lie in the intersection of development economics and agricultural livelihood. She is also interested in exploring mechanisms for improving agricultural returns and generating secure and sustainable livelihood opportunities for the existing workforce and potential entrants. Sonali holds a post-graduate degree in rural development from the Institute of Rural Management Anand in Gujarat, India. She has over six years of experience working in India’s development sector, where she conceptualized and implemented large-scale research, monitoring, and evaluation studies for multilateral research and consulting organizations, such as the Population Council and Ernst & Young. Sonali strongly believes that increased investment in monitoring, learning, and evaluation of agricultural policies and interventions can drive effective development outcomes.
