Sage Grasso-Monroe

Sage Grasso-Monroe is a research support specialist at TCI, where she supports the development and application of frameworks to assess climate resilience in food systems across low-, middle- and high-income countries. Her work focuses on linking agricultural systems, nutrition and environmental sustainability to better understand and strengthen food system resilience to climate change. Previously, she contributed to the institutional capacity measurement component of the Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Crop Improvement (ILCI), supporting efforts to evaluate and enhance the organizational strength of national crop improvement programs to develop crop varieties that align with locally defined food security priorities in low-income countries. Sage received her Master of Professional Studies in global development from Cornell University, with a concentration in international agriculture and rural development. Prior to joining Cornell, she volunteered with the Peace Corps in Ethiopia, facilitating community-based agricultural initiatives to improve food security and dietary diversity.
