Dr. Raghav Puri

Raghav is a research associate at the Tata-Cornell Institute. His research broadly examines the implementation and impact of health and nutrition policies in India. Raghav received his PhD in public administration from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University. His dissertation examines the effectiveness of demand-side health policies (conditional cash transfers and public health insurance) in increasing the utilization of healthcare services in rural India. Before starting his doctoral studies, Raghav spent four years working with the World Bank in India. Raghav has a Master’s degree in public policy from the National University of Singapore and a Bachelor’s degree in economics from St. Stephen’s College at the University of Delhi in India.
