TCI Publishes 2019-20 Annual Report
The Tata-Cornell Institute for Agriculture and Nutrition (TCI) has published its 2019-20 Annual Report. The report features updates on research and activities from the past year, as well as information regarding upcoming projects.
“I am delighted with the progress that TCI has made over the past seven years, and I am excited about the contributions that we are poised to make over the coming years,” TCI Director Prabhu Pingali writes in the report. “I am particularly excited by our role in enhancing the academic and development practitioner talent pool through the high-quality graduate students and postdoctoral associates that TCI has had the honor to support and mentor.”
The report offers an in-depth look at the full range of TCI’s current and upcoming research, from studies of value chains and markets to fortification and biofortification efforts. An update on TCI’s Technical Assistance and Research for Indian Nutrition and Agriculture (TARINA) project describes outcomes from TARINA’s ground-level interventions, as well as advocacy to make India’s food system more nutrition-sensitive. The report also features publications, such as TCI’s latest book, Transforming Food Systems for a Rising India.
The 2019-20 Annual Report is available for download in PDF format. In the coming weeks, individual pieces from the report will also be posted to the TCI blog.
