New Webinar Series Will Begin with Discussion on Sustainable Tech
The Transforming Food Systems Forum, a new webinar series from the Tata-Cornell Institute for Agriculture and Nutrition (TCI), will start on Monday, September 14, with an examination of sustainable technologies for smallholder farmers.
The series will feature insightful, data-driven discussions about topics relevant to Indian food systems, such as climate and sustainability and markets and value chains. The webinars will be led by researchers from TCI and other leading institutions in the food systems space. Each webinar will consist of a 30-minute presentation followed by 30 minutes of question-and-answer time.
The series will begin on September 14 with a discussion led by TCI Manager for Strategic Initiatives Milorad Plavsic and TCI Faculty Fellow and Cornell University Professor Harold van Es. The discussion, entitled “Integrating Sustainable Tech for Energy, Water and Food in Smallholder Communities,” will provide insights from TCI’s research on agrivoltaics in Bihar, India.
Additional webinars in the series will be announced on a rolling basis. Those interested in receiving notices about upcoming webinars should subscribe to the TCI Newsletter.
